I am a trial and appellate attorney licensed in California and Nevada, including the United States District Court of Nevada and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
My boutique law practice focuses on low volume, high-stakes, civil and criminal litigation and also serves as general counsel for a number of companies. Prior to starting my own practice, I worked for large, national, firms in San Francisco and Las Vegas, focusing primarily on insurance defense/coverage and business litigation. My expertise now spans a diverse range of areas from severe personal injuries and major crimes to corporate and transactional matters. It brings me great joy to tackle complex, unique, and/or unusual cases. I do not "specialize" in any particular area of law, rather my sole focus is superior customer service and top-notch results.
My judicial experience includes a clerkship with Chief Justice Mark Gibbons at the Nevada Supreme Court, an externship with Judge Arthur Alarcon at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and an externship with Judge Theodore Albert at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.
I hold a bachelors of arts in economics from the University of California at Santa Cruz and a law degree from Southwestern where I served as an editor on its law review. I've also attended Beijing Foreign Studies University and the University of Glasgow, Scotland. I'm fascinated with politics and have taught political science as an adjunct professor at Great Basin Community College in Elko.
In my free time, I like to spend time with my family, practice yoga (I've completed two teacher training courses), rock climb, spin on my Peloton, and travel the world, near and far.
